An excellent start saw us take a commanding lead, courtesy of Lizzie’s superb individual effort for her tenth goal of the season, quickly followed by Faye’s powerful headed conversion from a corner. However, the momentum shifted just 15 minutes before the interval when Corrie was forced off with a knee injury. Dartford capitalized ruthlessly during our subsequent period of adjustment, netting two well-taken goals to level the scores at the break. The second half was a tense, back-and-forth battle, where both teams were relentlessly denied a winner by the woodwork, determined last-ditch defending, and a series of magnificent saves by both keepers. Match Report:
Chatham Town Development vs Parkwood

The intensity of the local derby fixture was immediately apparent, resulting in a crucial victory that sends The Roses through to the next round. The team secured an emphatic early lead, starting in the ninth minute when Corrie converted a free header from a precise Shakira corner. Just five minutes later, Lizzie doubled the advantage, coolly slotting home the resulting penalty after being fouled in the box. Resolute defending and a fantastic debut save from goalkeeper Nike ensured The Roses maintained the 2-0 lead at halftime. Dartford Development pulled one back in the second half when a shot ricocheted off the crossbar and into the net. However, the victory was sealed in the 89th minute when Lizzie netted her second goal of the afternoon, securing a decisive 3-1 win.
Today’s match provided a stern but exciting test of resilience, particularly considering we were fielding an understrength squad with only one outfield substitute available. Facing a gifted and energetic side like Chatham Town Development meant the challenge was always going to be steep, but our available players embraced the task with fantastic spirit. Chatham's talented young squad showcased excellent cohesion, scoring two goals in the first half and adding another two after the interval to secure a 4-0 victory and the three points. While the result went to the opposition, the determination shown by our limited numbers against such quality promises exciting things for the team's character moving forward.

28th September 2025

Facing a challenging match with only two substitutes due to holidays and illnesses, coupled with a bobbly, inclined pitch and blustery winds, the team started brightly. Lizzie struck her fourth goal of the season after seven minutes, yet a vital second goal proved elusive despite numerous opportunities. The second half saw increased difficulty playing uphill, compounded by forced substitutions for injured players Alex (ankle) and Patricia (ankle), which exhausted the available changes. Gravesham capitalised on a defensive error to level the score. Despite looking the more likely side to secure a winner, the team's inability to make further tactical adjustments due to their depleted bench meant the game concluded in a 1-1 draw.
